I was working on the show notes for episode 8, and came across this quote from the book War Without Mercy. It’s from a popular Japanese song from 1944. This is how the culture of the Samurai was popularized. Imagine Lady Gaga singing about this and think how completely different this society was from ours.

Thought you guys would like to see a map about the Second Punic War. You can thank Bob from Essex for sending me an email. And just for Bob: I’m sorry but Fuller’s London Ale has got nothing on London Porter. The ale is way too malty.
